I have been to the Waurn Ponds campus for a few events and my exams and I love it!

There are some confusing layout problems, but that is simply just not being very aware of the massive campus map!

I could not be more proud to call myself a Deakinite :D

I highly recommend downloading the pdf map to help direct you. Security were most unhelpful.

I was being bullied in class so when I asked the tutor how can I file a complaint about this, the tutor told me to just ignore it. Since I did not feel safe in my own class I ended going less and less to the point I just ended up not going at all and I just quit. I am so deeply scarred by this that I'm still going to a psychologist because of this horrible experience.

Deakin University has a wonderful community feel to it, there is an all round respect for the grounds, the lecturers, and all people who are there in general.

Of course, like all educational institutions, it does have its down sides, sometimes certain things do go wrong, but overall, I would not want to be anywhere else for my course.

I have been attending this university for just under 4 years, it has amazing facilities, brilliant resources available 24/7 and an awesome set of teaching staff.

Fabulous sporting facilities and some amazing underground technology bases for training at lower altitudes.

Deakin's corporate, money driven approach to education leaves me with little more than a huge hole in my wallet. Considering the overpriced lunch, the 25 minute walk from the housing estate where the majority of students park out of necessity and the 40 minute drive to reach the campus, for the same amount of time and price its economical to go to a Melbourne city university. A spiritually draining experience with Melbourne travel times without the culture.
